From the A303

Take the Bruton/Shaftesbury B3081, Wincanton Races exit (a very sharp exit)
As soon as you come off the A303 turn right to Bruton B3081
At T junction turn left to Bruton and then turn right just after the Hunters Lodge pub, again signed to Bruton B3081.
Continue on this road to T junction on a triangle, turn right, still to Bruton.
After a couple of miles you will come into Bruton. Keep the Church on your left and follow the one way system down Silver Street, past Kings Bruton School.
Keep right as road divides at T junction. Turn right signed to Frome A359
On your left you will immediately see a petrol station, then left on the corner just after the Chinese Restaurant, badly signed to Shepton Mallet.
Continue on this road for 2.3miles, and then turn right to Lamyatt, just after a farmhouse on a left hand bend.

From Castle Cary

Take the A371 in the direction of Shepton Mallet. A mile or so after the Station, turn right on a very large left hand bend, badly signed to Bruton.

A few hundred yards along this road, turn left to Lamyatt, on a right hand bend in front of a farm house.




By Rail

Southwest Trains

Regular services to/from Gillingham and Templecombe (20 minutes away by car) on the Waterloo / Plymouth line. Waterloo is about 2 hours away.

First Great Western

The Penzance / Paddington service is quicker but less frequent and more expensive than the Waterloo line. It stops at Castle Cary Station, which is less than 5 minutes drive away.
